What is NEET?
NEET, or the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test, is an important exam for students in India who wish to study undergraduate medical courses like MBBS, BDS, BAMS, BSMS, BUMS, and BHMS. It was introduced in 2013 to replace various other medical entrance exams across states and institutions, making the admission process more streamlined and fair. NEET is conducted in line with the National Medical Commission Act, 2019, following a directive from the Supreme Court of India in 2018. This exam ensures a common and uniform entrance test for all students aspiring to study undergraduate medicine. In essence, NEET is a crucial step for students looking to pursue a career in medicine, providing them with a standardized and transparent path to admission into medical colleges.
