In this article and video attached, we are going to cover Heat Transfer, Calorimetry and Thermal Expansion. It talks in detail about the 16 TYPES OF PROBLEMS asked in JEE Main in the entire Heat chapter and strategies to solve them. It is part of PracBee's Revision Program. In this program we are trying to cover whole syllabus of JEE Main in 10 Weeks in a very effective manner. We are also taking mock tests for JEE Main and discussing that live in our classes.

PRACBEE REVISION PROGRAM
We have started this video with weightage of the topics in JEE. Then we will jump into the Mind map of the chapter, so you know which topics and subtopics are covered in Heat chapter except KTG and thermodynamics chapter for IIT JEE - JEE Main and JEE Advanced, and how these are interlinked with each other. That helps you cover the entire chapter comprehensively and ensure you do not miss any single subtopic or concept from it.
Since the video has 3-4 questions from each of the 16 types of problems Heat, mostly from Past Year Questions of JEE Main, we are keeping 2 questions per type in the blog. We will add the list of the 16 problem types followed by 2 questions from each type.
We are going to systematically start with the weightage of the topic then go into the subtopics that need to be covered then go into more deeper points of what exactly there is in the syllabus using mind maps and ultimately come on to the 16 problem types.
Before we start this video there is a “do” and there is a “don't”. The “do” is do not watch this video like you are watching a movie but keep making notes, keep solving questions, pause the video and see how you can arrive on an answer and develop your approach while solving. The “don't” is that this video is not meant for a fresher student who has not just studies the chapter. We will not go into very basics but yes, I will tell you the concept wherever and whenever it is required.
Heat, temperature, thermal expansion, specific heat capacity, calorimetry, change of state, latent heat. Heat transfer: conduction, convection and radiation.
When two substances at different temperatures are mixed together, then exchange of heat continues to take place till their temperatures become equal. This temperature is then called final temperature of mixture. Here, Heat taken by one substance Heat given by another substance
A bimetallic strip consists of metals A and B . It is mounted rigidly as shown. The metal A has higher coefficient of expansion compared to that of metal B. When the bimetallic strip is placed in a cold both, it will :
(1) Bend towards the right
(2) Not bend but shrink
(3) Neither bend nor shrink
(4) Bend towards the left
We hope you enjoyed this blog as well as the video, in which we went into the details of different kinds of problems that can be formed from Heat chapter in JEE Main, and how to solve them.
If you like this video you may also like Pracbee’s unique 1:1 Last Mile Journey program. In this program we sit with the student to understand their preparation till this point of time and based on that in step two we write a customized planner just for you to help you optimize your marks in JEE Mains exam based on whatever preparation you have done. In step three we sit with you 1:1 by a set of faculties aligned by Pracbee and help you implement the customized plan that we wrote for you.
Students have come to us with limited or decent preparation, and all have been able to score their marks to a large extent. Asesh using this program was able to improve his fortunes by a lot starting from 95% in J Mains means attempt 1 to getting selected for mechanical in IIT Madras. Ditya over a period of time was able to crack JEE Advance using this program.
